Decency (or What I Don’t Deserve) (Sex and the Ivy)
Jan 25th, 2025 by Viviane
For starters, check out these guys who are posting atrocious comments on a law school admissions forum. Some genius thought that sending me the link to this forum would be so badass of him. I may be technologically impaired, but I know enough to run a blog. I certainly know where my incoming links are coming from, asshole. Besides the cheap shots about how I look, check out the blatant racism:
“Who are the H losers who have to lower themselves to this girl? You’d think good looking white dudes would have better opportunities, even at H.” (more…)
Sorry, but this reminds me of when women wear deep cleavage and then get offended when a man stares at their breasts. If you’re going to write a sex blog, and you’re going to pimp it for “Blog of the Year,” and we all would like to get a book deal for what we write….
Do I have to connect the dots?
A little more chutzpah is in order.
Well, hang on now. Some level of criticism is reasonable to expect, sure, but the virulent racism is a bit over the line, don’t you think?
Some criticism is to be expected.
But have you actualy looked at the bulletin board in question?
I think the language directed at Elle is ugly and way over the line.
Opinion is worth what you paid to hear it. Even a well-formed criticism can be harsh in lieu of that, which I consider sophomoric and misogynistic banter.
While I think that she, meaning the blog author, should be able to take opinion that doesn’t support her, I also believe that some comfort should be drawn from the fact that they showed themselves to be…less than perfect themselves.
‘The greatest of faults, I should say, is to be conscious of none.’ - Carlvle
But that’s simply my opinion and worth what you paid for it.

I read the boards and the comments are way over the top.
The thread needs to be removed.
The link to her post is void; she removed the post.
The bulletin board was filled with ridiculous rants, over-the-top racism, and presumptuous posturing that “we’re just telling her how it is. She _needs_ to hear this/understand/learn her place/blahblahblah.”
Then they’d e-high-five each other with numbers that I’m pretty sure is geek for the varying levels of coercion in which they must engage to get just a little whiff of pussy.
If those are Ivy Leaguers, I’m scared(er) for our country.
